Product import from an XLS(X) file

If you are using an XLS(X) file, there are certain things you should take into consideration:

Even if you nicely edit the description of your product description in your file, like colored letters in a particular style or size, it will not be visible in your store because Shopify only accepts HTML formatting.

We do not recommend using filtering or operations in the XLS(X) because it may disturb the smooth process of importing your data.

Please, do not insert pictures in the file, because Syncee will not upload them to your store. We only work with direct links.

Using Syncee, you can add more files to one Import Task. The most important thing is that one task should belong to just one supplier. However, if your supplier stores the product data, for example, inventory, SKU, and price in a different XLS sheet, Syncee can treat them as one. Here is what you have to do:

Add the XLS(X) to Syncee and choose the first sheet you would like to use. Secondly, add the SAME XLS(X) and select the other sheet in the file that stores the product data. You can repeat this until all product data is added to Syncee.

However, if the sheets of the file contain diverse product categories, upload one sheet here and the other one to a separate task.

If you create your file, we recommend using XLS instead of XLSX.

It is important to emphasize that each file has a unique structure, so if you have difficulties adding it to Syncee, feel free to contact us at any time.
