Not only the uploading of the products but their pricing too requires a lot of manual work. In Syncee, you can do the pricing of the products in a couple of minutes. You can add a fixed amount of extra money and/or a certain percentage of profit.
In Syncee wizard's "Pricing" Step you can add two types of pricing rules: GENERAL PRICING and CATEGORY PRICING RULES, which we will examine in another article.
This is the main pricing rule, most of our customers are using just this type of pricing.
If you have price field among your supplier's fields and you want to add to Shopify an increased price, you can do it in the following way with Syncee:
- You need to map the appropriate field of your data feed in the "Field mapping" step of the wizard to Shopify's price field.
- In the "Pricing" step, add an extra fix amount and/or an extra % to this price field value.
Example 1 (general, common usage):
You have a product which is 50 USD in your file, but you want to add 100% price margin, so you want to sell it in your Shopify store for 100 USD:
(Using this method, all of your product prices will be increased with 100%)
Example 2 (general, with more price scales):
If your products' prices are very different in the file (you have cheap and expensive products in the file at the same time) you can set price ranges.
For example, you may have a 14USD product in the file, but at the same time you have a 300USD product.
Using Syncee, you can set a different margin for the 10USD product than to your 300USD product.
The example below clearly illustrates that the product which was originally 1,24USD will cost 3,72USD in your Shopify store, while the product that was 124USD will be 186USD:
You need to keep in mind that Syncee automatically converts the currency in your data feed file to the currency that you chose during the Field Mapping. Or you can also set a fixed conversion rate at the Settings of the Price's Field Mapping. We explain these settings in more detail here.
Secondly, if you set category pricing rules, please note that they overwrite the general pricing rules. So if you set different pricing rules to your categories than you added in the general pricing, your customers will see the category pricing rules in your Shopify store. Moreover, you can only apply category pricing rules if you have correctly mapped the collection field of your data feed to the appropriate Shopify field in Syncee's Field Mapping step. It doesn't apply to the collections you already have in your store.
